Welcome to Wilmette’s Indian Hill Home and Garden Club!
The Indian Hill Home & Garden Club was established in 1954 and continues today as a non-profit neighborhood organization with the dual purposes of (1) beautifying and maintaining all seven entranceways within the Indian Hill Estates neighborhood; and (2) holding a series of social events throughout the year. The Club is led by a volunteer Board of Directors and run in accordance with its By-Laws. All residents living in the Indian Hill Estates, West neighborhood are eligible and encouraged to be members and participate in the many Club activities.
About Us
Membership
The Indian Hill Home & Garden Club members, not the Village of Wilmette, pay for landscaping, seasonal plantings, winter wreaths and stonework repairs of our seven neighborhood entrances. We depend on the support of neighbors like you!
The month of August is our Membership Drive. We encourage current members to renew and nonmembers to join us and help the IHHGC continue the 70 year tradition of beautifying our neighborhood and building community among neighbors and friends.
The annual dues are $125 and IHHGC members receive:
Invitations to social events
Indian Hill Home & Garden Club’s member directory
IHHGC quarterly newsletter
The satisfaction of helping to beautify our neighborhood
If you're interested in joining or have any questions, feel free to email us at ihhgcwilmette@gmail.com.
Landscaping
The IHHGC is responsible for maintenance, seasonal plantings and holiday decor.
We have beautiful stone pillars at each of our seven entrances. The IHHGC, not the village, is responsible for maintaining and sometimes repairing when there is damage!
Pictured here is the Seminole Road pillar damaged Fall of 2024. Click through to see our beautiful, lighted stone pillar, repaired by local masons in collaboration with the IHHGC.
